Focus

Can you believe it's May!!! Yes, and we are coming into the busy season.

We have buyers coming out of the woodwork, sellers threatening to list their homes and this is the time where we tend to stop doing the things that have moved us forward the rest of the year, prospecting, calling past clients, keeping up with our farm.  Then we wonder why we have nothing going on in October.  

Let's make sure we stay focused.  

We are business owners and entrepreneurs, not home tour guides.  

We should continually run our business like a business or our business will run us. 

If anything the past year or so has told us, is we need to strive for excellence, stay focused on our values and don't be distracted by things we have no control over. 

Marcus Aurelius tells us:

“Concentrate every minute like a Roman— like a man (or woman)— on doing what’s in front of you with precise and genuine seriousness, tenderly, willingly, with justice. And on freeing yourself from all other distractions. Yes, you can— if you do everything as if it were the last thing you were doing in your life, and stop being aimless, stop letting your emotions override what your mind tells you, stop being hypocritical, self-centered, irritable.”
