Veteran’s Day

Good morning Team,

What a week, the Marine Corps 249th birthday yesterday and Veterans day today.

There is something we say to each other all the time in the Marine Corps.  I even have a tattoo of this slogan.  It’s “Semper Fidelis” or “Semper Fi” for short

“Semper Fidelis” is more than just a motto for Marines, it’s a way of life. Translating from Latin as “Always Faithful,” it encapsulates a lifelong commitment to loyalty, duty, and honor. But beyond the words, it’s a powerful creed that binds every Marine together, past and present.

Being “always faithful” means holding steadfast when the seas get rough, standing your ground when others might falter, and being a person of your word no matter the cost. It's about being there for those around you—whether that’s your brothers and sisters in uniform, your family, your colleagues, or your community. It means never turning your back on your responsibilities and always striving to be better than you were yesterday.

For Marines, Semper Fidelis is a reminder that even in the darkest of times, you are never alone. It’s a silent pledge of loyalty to each other, to the Corps, and to the ideals we swore to protect. This relentless faithfulness extends beyond military service, seeping into every aspect of life.  It is the backbone of resilience, courage, and unity.

So when we say “Semper Fi,” it’s not just words—it’s a promise to stand by each other, always. It’s about the courage to fight for what’s right, the discipline to uphold your values, and the heart to serve something greater than yourself. It’s a reminder that true faithfulness is unwavering and forever.

I think it’s the  way we should operate everyday in order to live our best lives whether you are in the military or not.  Always being faithful to our ideals, our values and our family and friends.

So this week in honor of all  veterans let's live Semper Fidelis or always faithful.
